TERMS OF WARRANTY (BY MODEL)

Model: IT 700

Between 0 till 30 months: Free repair or replacement subject to conditions mentioned in Warranty Card.

More than 30 months but less than or equal to 48 months: Replacement with new battery as per conditions which will be made available at 35% discount on the prevailing MRP.

Models: IT 700+/IT 900/IT 900+/TUB 500+/TUB 2000/IT 2500

Between 0 till 36 months: Free repair or replacement subject to conditions mentioned in Warranty Card.

More than 36 months but less than or equal to 60 months: Replacement with new battery as per conditions which will be made available at 35% discount on the prevailing MRP.

DETAILED TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. PIXELS Batteries are warranted against all defects in material and workmanship. Liability under this warranty is limited to making good of defects arising solely from the use of faulty material or workmanship during manufacture and developing under proper use. The warranty commences from the date of delivery to the original purchaser. The warranty of battery is valid as per terms of warranty mentioned in the card from the date of supply.

2. It is a condition of this warranty that the battery is returned unopened and complete with electrolyte, freight paid to the dealer from whom it has been purchased.

3. The right to determine whether a battery needs repair or total replacement lies with the company. In cases where the battery is replaced, the defective battery being replaced becomes the property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given for it. The warranty period on the battery being repaired/replaced shall commence from the date of sale of the original battery as stated in the original warranty card and not from the date of replacement given. For batteries purchased on pro-rata warranty settlement, A fresh warranty will be applicable from the date of purchase of pro-rata battery.

In the event of any particular battery model being phased out, the company reserves the right to provide of the same capacity as settlement of warranty.

4. All liabilities under this warranty shall cease if the battery is:

(a) Transferred to any other party other than the original purchaser.

(b) Used in any application other than that for Inverter/Home UPS.

(c) Found to have additives, dopes or anything other than that else other than battery grade-demineralized water added to the electrolyte.

(d) Out of warranty period.

5. This warranty does not cover:

(a) Defects/Damages to the battery caused by accidents, fire, faulty electrical systems, negligent maintenance, incorrect charging, filling or improper handling/service of the battery by unauthorized Dealers/electricians, willful abuse, destruction by fire, collision, theft or recharging.

(b) Breakage of container and cover or breakage / deformation of terminal due to mechanical shock like hammering.

(c) Damage to the battery due to contamination of electrolyte. The electrolyte used must be pure dilute sulphuric acid conforming to IS specification No. 266-1993. For topping up purposes pure distilled water conforming to IS specification No. 1069-1993.

(d) Recharging which shall be billed as extra.

(e) Failure of battery due to over discharge, over charge or improper topping up.

(f) Battery operated in discharged condition for long period.

6. This warranty card must accompany all claims arising within the warranty period.

7. The charging system & electrical circuit of the inverter if required shall be checked by the company authorized personnel or dealer before finalizing settlement of any warranty claim.

8. If the inverter lower cut off voltage is not working or has been tampered with or in the event of severe power cuts, the battery will get over discharges. Lead-Acid battery cannot be revived if it is over discharges. Hence an over discharged battery will not be accepted under warranty.

9. The warranty period is subject to the following terms & conditions:

(a) For electrolyte preparation, acid used must conform generally to IS specification No. 266-1993.

(b) Battery grade water to be used should conform to IS 1069-1993.

(c) In case of any deviation in the above, the warranty shall be null and void.

(d) Any tampering / over-writing of serial No. / Mfg. Code / Label sticker on the warranty card or the battery will invalidate the warranty claim.

10. In case of warranty claim, the invoice/bill in original must be produced along with duly stamped/signed warranty card without which claim will not be entertained.

11. It is advised that service checks at least once in three months are adhered to.

12. The service record must be filled by an authorized dealer of the company as proof of maintenance. WITHOUT THIS RECORD YOUR CLAIM, IF ANY IS LIABLE TO BE HELD INVALID.

13. All customer details, Home UPS details, as well as Initial Record of cell voltage, specific gravity etc. at time of sale must be filled completely by the dealer. In case of incomplete information the warranty claim any be liable to be held invalid.

14. Kindly check the sticker pasted underneath. In case of any complaints, kindly refer to sticker pasted.

15. Customers are deemed to have read, understood and agree to these conditions at the time of purchase.

CAUTION

In your interest it is strongly recommended that your Battery is checked and serviced by an Authorized Service dealer only.

STATUTORY NOTICE

In accordance with the Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forest's notification on Batteries (Management & Handling) Rules, 2001, it is the responsibility of every consumer to ensure that used Lead-Acid Batteries are not disposed off in any manner other than returning to Dealer for recycling of hazardous lead content. Please contact your Dealer for trade-in purpose.
Note: Clause 10. Responsibilities of consumer or bulk customer:-
(1) It shall be the responsibility of the consumer to ensure that used batteries are not disposed of in any manner other than depositing with the dealer, manufacturer, importer, assembler, registered recycler, re-conditioner or at the designated collection centres.
